The concept behind the project is simple: To allow for a fluid, interactive object, offering opportunities to take authorship of the design, to communicate and develop personal narratives.

Inspired by the love of sending and receiving mail, ATM uses the emotionally evocative format of a parcel to carry, display and illuminate visual images and messages.  Using LEDs, and independent from mains power once fully charged, ATM can also act as a personal light source.

ATM may be used to portray a feeling, a memory, share a joke, make a request, suggest an idea.  The light draws attention to the message.

The medium used will be familiar but the way in which its message unfolds will always be different, and will always be personal to the receiver as well as the sender.
